Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Youm and Al-Sharq newspapers said in their editorials that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is constantly keen on buying the latest weapons to defend its territory, secure the sovereignty and maintain the security of the country and its people. They also pointed out that emanating from this concern, the leader of this nation, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud inaugurated the new aircraft F15-SI-0041 as part of his patronage of the graduation of the 91st batch at King Faisal Air College on the occasion of its 50th foundation anniversary, held yesterday, thus the Kingdom enhanced its combatant air fleet with one of the newest aircraft in the world. Al-Youm commented that this step reaffirms the attention being accorded by the Kingdom's leadership to buy the latest weapons and the training of national cadres and capabilities for the support of its defenses and ensure the safety of the nation and protect it from any possible aggression. Al-Sharq concluded that the Kingdom is interested in light of this ongoing turbulent time which is full of sedition, wars and crises to be ready to defend its sacred territories against any possible aggression, and thus translating the principle of preserving its cultural accomplishments that have been achieved since the era of its inception until today as it is going ahead to take all the causes of progress, civilization, renaissance and development, and is moving forward at the same time to protect them by all means of power. --More
