Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, has been awarded the President of Costa Rica's National Order of Juan Mora Fernandez by President Luis Guillermo Solis Rivera, in recognition of his efforts to expand bilateral relations between the two countries, WAM state news agency reported. Al Nahyan was presented with the recognition today by Costa Rican Minister of Foreign Relations Manuel Antonio Gonzalez Sanz at a meeting held at the UAE Ministry of Affairs and International Cooperation in Abu Dhabi. The officials also discussed ways of promoting bilateral relations, along with issues of common concern for the two countries. Welcoming his Costa Rican counterpart, Sheikh Abdullah stressed the importance of friendship and mutual co-operation between the two countries. Gonzalez Sanz stressed that his country is keen to promote co-operation with the UAE and lauded its prestigious regional and international stature.
