French Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve is set to take over as the country's prime minister after the current office holder stepped down to pursue the presidency, dpa cited the Elysee as announcing Tuesday. Prime Minister Manuel Valls announced Monday that he would step down to seek the presidency as the Socialist Party candidate after the current president, Francois Hollande, said he would not stand for a second term. Cazeneuve has been in charge of the Interior Ministry for two and a half years.
