The Dow Jones industrial average added 33, or 0.18 percent, to 19,155.12. The broader Standard & Poor's 500 index dropped 3, or 0.14 percent, to 2,201. The technology-heavy Nasdaq composite index fell 48, or 0.91 percent, to 5,330.
