Governor of Yemeni province of Al-Joaf Major General Amin Al-Okaimi said that the legitimate leadership of Yemen would never give up its determination to end the coup in Sanaa and restore the State usurped by the Houthi militias and forces loyal to deposed president Ali Saleh. In a statement to SABA, the state-run Yemeni news agency, he said the cooperation demonstrated by the Yemeni leadership with the United Nations to remain committed to the current truce doesn't mean suspending the liberation process of all Yemen and ending the coup, but to give an additional chance to the United Nations to mount more pressure on the militias to implement the international legitimacy resolution. He confirmed the commitment of the Yemeni army and popular resistance in his province to the truce announced by the Arab coalition and the legitimate government, noting that Yemenis preserve the right to retaliate and never exercise leniency towards the coup-makers.
