Speaker of Shura Council Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-shiekh held talks with the speaker of Chadian National Assembly Dr. Haroon Kabadi and discussed issues of mutual concern between the two countries, in addition to ways of enhancing parliamentary cooperation between Shura Council and Chadian parliament. The meeting came as part of Dr. Kabadi's current visit to the Kingdom at an invitation of Dr. Al Al-Shiekh. At the outset of the meeting, Al Al-Shiekh welcomed Dr. Kabadi and his delegation in their second country: Saudi Arabia, wishing them a good stay. He lauded the level of relations binding the two countries in many fields, hoping that this visit would contribute to further promoting the bilateral relations between the two countries, particularly between the Shura Council and the Chadian parliament in a way that serves the interests of the two countries. Al Al-Sheikh briefed Dr. Kabadi on the path of Shura Council since its inception and its role in the legislative and control fields, mechanisms for implementing its recommendations and its contribution to the regional and international parliamentary organizations. For his part, Kabadi expressed happiness to visit the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, thanking Al A-Sheikh for warm welcome and generous hospitality accorded to him and his accompanying delegation. He confirmed the stance of Chad by the side of the Kingdom in its support for legitimacy in Yemen as well as the measures it was taking to preserve its security and stability. Later, Al Al-Sheikh held a luncheon in honor of the Chadian delegation.
