Gareth Bale headed Wales ahead in the 13th minute from a Joe Ledley corner but Georgia levelled eight minutes into the second half when Tornike Okriashvili drifted in at the far post to head in from Valeri Kazaishvili's cross. Georgia also hit the bar and had the better of the chances in the second half to earn a deserved first point after two defeats. Euro 2016 semi-finalists Wales now have five points from three games in Group D but could lose ground when Serbia play Austria, and Moldova meet Ireland in matches later Sunday. Ukraine and Croatia both chalked up wins in Group I. In Tampere, Finland, Mario Mandzukic struck an 18th-minute winner for Croatia against the home side to stay top of the group, while Ukraine earned their first win after two draw when they beat Kosovo 3-0 in Krakow thanks to a first-half own goal by Amir Rrahmani and late goals from Andriy Yarmolenko and Ruslan Rotan. Iceland were up against Turkey in the group later Sunday. Spain were at group leaders Albania, while Italy were at Macedonia in matches later in the day in the group.
