Twenty-two soldiers have been killed in an apparent terrorist attack on a camp of Malian refugees in Niger, Radio France Internationale reported Friday. According to dpa, the attackers, whose identity was not known, rode in two vehicles into the Tazalit refugee camp in western Tahoua region on Thursday, according to the report. They attacked a barracks housing soldiers protecting the refugees, taking them completely by surprise. Twenty-two soldiers were finished off with shots to the head. The attackers stole weapons, munitions, a vehicle and fled towards the Malian border.
