Arab League Council has expressed its indignation and severe condemnation of the atrocities and crimes committed by the Syrian regime against unarmed civilians and the systematic destruction of all necessities of life in populated areas. In a statement issued at the conclusion of its extraordinary session held at the General Secretariat of the Arab League at the level of permanent delegates, headed by Tunisia today, the council stressed that these actions are contrary to all divine religions and religious values, and constitute a flagrant violation of the international protection of civilians and international humanitarian law and human rights treaties. Regarding the deteriorating humanitarian situation in the city of Aleppo, the Council renews, in its statement, emphasis on its firm position that the only possible solution to the Syrian crisis is a political solution through comprehensive political process that meets the aspirations of the Syrian people, according to the text of the final statement of the conference "Geneva - 1". The Council expressed its concern for the grave deterioration of the humanitarian situation in Aleppo and other Syrian cities, appealing to the international community and humanitarian organizations for immediate and urgent ceasefire and to provide urgent humanitarian assistance. The Council also expressed its condemnation of the heinous terrorist crimes committed by terrorist organizations such as ISIS and the Syrian regime in the various areas of Syria, saying such this crimes is categorized as war crimes.
