Deputy speaker of shura council Dr. Mohammed bin Amin Al-Jeffery received at his office in Riyadh today visiting deputy speaker of the house of representatives of Nigeria's Federal Republic Yousef Sulaimon and the accompanying delegation. At the outset of the meeting, Sulaimon welcomed the Nigerian delegation in the Kingdom, wishing them a good stay in the Kingdom, noting that such visits contribute to enhancing the distinguished bilateral relations between the two countries. He lauded the parliamentary relations between the Shura Council and the Nigerian parliament, noting the keenness of the Shura Council on enhancing this relation in what could achieve the joint interests between the two chambers and peoples. He lauded the pioneering role being played by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the service of Islam and Muslims as well as its efforts in the service of the two holy mosques and the objectives of the Kingdom 2030 vision, citing the increase in the number of pilgrims and Umrah performers. During the meeting, they reviewed relations between the Kingdom and Nigeria and ways of enhancing them in all political, economic and commercial fields, and how to promote parliamentary ties between the Shura Council and the Nigerian parliament. The meeting was attended by a number of officials from the two sides. The Nigerian delegation arrived in Riyadh last night where they were received at King Khalid international airport by Dr. Abdullah Al-Zufairi, member of the Saudi Nigerian parliamentary committee at the Shura Council.
