Deputy Premier and Foreign Minister of Yemen Abdulmalik Al-Mikhlafi said that the Houthi putschists and their ally the ousted Saleh, preferred the war and rejected the option of peace.At a meeting held here today, in Geneva, before the Group of 18 states' Ambassadors to the European headquarters of the United Nations, he stressed the keenness of the Yemeni legitimate government over the peace process, in spite of all obstacles and the intransigence of the putschists, before, during and following the consultations. On the other hand, he, highly, valued the support of the ambassadors of the 18 countries of the Group, during the Kuwait held meetings, to the Yemeni legitimate government, looking forward that "the convergence of the legitimate government will gain the same support from the ambassadors of the Group of 18 nations, in Geneva, especially, during the upcoming session of the UN Human Rights Council, to be held next month.
