A host of Pakistani dignitaries today lauded the efforts being exerted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to combat terrorism, support security and stability in the region and defend the causes of Islam and Muslims. They confirmed the support of Pakistan's people and political and Islamic leaderships, by the side of the Kingdom towards all the decisions and measures it has taken to safeguard the two holy mosques and confront whoever dares to destabilize the Arabian peninsula. They also lauded the positions of the Kingdom towards, Palestine, Syria and Yemen as well as its fight against terrorist organizations including Daesh. This came at the conference held by the Pakistan Ulema Council held in the city of Gujranwala in the Pakistani Punjab enclave under the title "protection of the two holy mosques". In a statement, the Chairman of the council Sheikh Taher Mahmoud Al-Ashrafi said the aim of holding this conference is to pay tribute to the pioneering role played by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, in support of the causes of Islamic Ummah in the face of terrorism, and its care of the two holy mosques and provision of ease and comfort for pilgrims, Umrah performers and visitors and denounce the destructive regional plots.
