Saudi Ambassador to Australia and New Zealand Nabil Bin Mohammed Al Saleh has welcomed the launch of the Saudi-New Zealand Business Council and its activities in Auckland, New Zealand. This came at a ceremony held on the occasion. In a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Ambassador Al Saleh said that the launch of this Council is the fruit of talks lasted more than 18 months and culminated in an agreement on a memorandum of understanding signed in the headquarters of New Zealand's embassy in Riyadh in the presence of a number of Saudi businessmen and economic figures from the two countries. He explained that the Council will enhance intra-regional trade, increase the volume of trade and investment cooperation between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and New Zealand and provide a broader commercial cooperation and partnership between businessmen of both countries.
