Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of topics and issues at local, regional and international arenas. On Iranian provocation, Al-Sharq newspaper wrote that at a time when the world is in a state of tension because of the terrorist operations repeated from time to time and most recently what happened yesterday at a church in Normandy area, northern France, and while the world stands as one hand against the brutal attacks being carried out by terrorists or any criminal act of sabotage to undermine state's security and human freedom, we find that the Iranian judiciary is moving to reduce prison sentences of the penetrators who assaulted the Saudi embassy in January 2016 and led to a diplomatic crisis between the two countries. It said that perhaps this decision, which came in a provocative way to increase the tension between the Persian state and the Arab world, as such an attack could be repeated at any state that may differ with Iran in its foreign relations, and that comes against the background of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's refusal of Iranian interference in Arab and Gulf countries' internal affairs, where the Persian media still directs its poisoned arrows to the sovereignty of the Kingdom in an attempt to inflame the conflict, a goal being sought by Iran over the past three decades. --More
