President Barack Obama has arrived in Spain for an abbreviated visit to the NATO ally. Air Force One landed at Torrej?n Air Base outside of Madrid. King Felipe IV and several other Spanish officials greeted him, AP reported. Obama plans meetings in Madrid with Spanish leaders and a visit with King Don Felipe IV. He'll also travel to the U.S. Naval Station Rota to address troops. The White House says the visit will highlight security cooperation between the two nations and a strong political and economic relationship. The president had planned a stop in Seville, for some sightseeing. But he cut his trip short a day after the fatal shooting of five police officers in Dallas Thursday night. Obama flew from Poland, where he attended a NATO summit.
