Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir commended the depth of Saudi-French relations and identity of views between the two sides on issues related to the Middle East. He praised in a joint press conference with French Foreign Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault after their meeting at the headquarters of the French Foreign Ministry here today the results of the visit of Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Second Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense to France, during which he met the French President, the Prime Minister, the Minister of defense, the Foreign Minister, and a number of officials, intellectuals and businessmen, which aims to continue consultation and coordination of positions between the two countries and consider strengthening and enhancing these historical, distinguished and strategic relations between the two countries. Minister Al-Jubeir said that the meeting's discussions were constructive and positive and there was an identity on all the subjects that were discussed, including pushing forward the peace process in the Middle East, the situations in Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Yemen, Libya, confronting Iran's interventions in the affairs of the region, and confrontation of terrorism, in addition to the strategic partnership between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and France, the areas of investment between the two countries, the exchange of views, consultation and continuation of unifying positions with respect to the region's issues, praising the positions of France in support of the efforts being made by the Kingdom in the region to maintain its security and stability. --More
