Tite officially has been named the new manager of Brazil's national football team, the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) said Monday, according to dpa. Adenor Leonardo Bacchi, better known as Tite, is to replace Carlos Dunga, who was dismissed last week after Brazil failed to make it past the group round at the Copa America Centenario. Tite, 55, stands before the tough mission of getting the Verdeamarela out of their current crisis. Among others, he will need to make sure that Brazil do not miss the first World Cup in their history. If the South American qualifiers were to end now, the five-time champions would miss the 2018 tournament to be held in Russia. "The focus is on qualifying for the World Cup," Tite said in Rio de Janeiro. "I think our work will enable us to qualify, but of course we are at risk." Tite led Sao Paulo club Corinthians to the title in the 2012 editions of the Copa Libertadores and the FIFA Club World Cup, and he resigned as manager of that club last week.
