The terrorist group Boko Haram has killed seven police officers in the west African country of Niger, Interior Minister Mohamed Bazoum said. According to dpa, the terrorists attacked the village of N'Gagam near the Nigerian border on Thursday evening, Bazoum said on Friday. The attackers arrived in vehicles and opened fire on the police officers in the village, which is located in an area where many refugees live, according to Urgence Diffa, which monitors the security and humanitarian situation in the area. Bazoum had visited the village, located some 40 kilometres from the town of Diffa, with a delegation just a few hours before the attack.
