The Ambassador of the United States of America to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Joseph W. Westphal has considered the visit being currently paid by Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Second Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense to the United States as an important opportunity to continue the constructive bilateral talks between the two countries on issues of common interest, including the fight against terrorism, economic cooperation and regional security issues. In a statement to Saudi Press Agency, he said, '' The bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United States of America, which extend for more than 80 years, stress the importance of continuing to work together to address various bilateral and regional issues, along with working to strengthen cooperation in the fields of defense, counter-terrorism, trade, education, science, technology, agriculture and many other areas. Ambassador Westphal noted that the United States values its partnership with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, pointing out that his country looks forward that during the Deputy Crown Prince's visit to be briefed on more details pertaining to the Kingdom's Vision 2030, and the national transformation program 2020 aiming to diversify the Kingdom's economy and meet the aspirations of its citizens.
