The News Agencies World Council (NACO) held here today its 5th meeting under the Chairmanship of the President of the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) and the President of the 4th NACO, Abdullah bin Fahd Al-Hussein. At the beginning of the meeting, the SPA President welcomed NACO's members and thanked them for their attendance and effective participation, as he thanked the Director-General of the Azerbaijan State News Agency (AZERTAC) for the warm reception and preparation of the successful ways for the preparatory meeting for holding the Fifth International Meeting of the news agencies in Baku. For his part, the AZERTAC Director-General, Aslan Aslanov welcomed the members of the Council and presented an explanation for what has been accomplished of preparations for the 5th News Agencies World Congress (NAWC) to be held in Baku in next November. During the meeting, the NAWC Secretary General, Uffe Riis Sorensen set forth the conference program and the names of speakers, and all the arrangements related to the next Congress were discussed.
