Hibernian ended a 114-year wait for their third-ever Scottish Cup win Saturday as David Gray's injury-time header earned a dramatic 3-2 win over Rangers at Hampden Park, dpa reported. Gray powered home the late winner from a corner kick and moments later Hibs fans spilled onto the pitch to celebrate until they were returned to the stands by mounted police. Hibs' Anthony Stokes had opened the scoring after three minutes in the first-ever Scottish cup final between two lower league sides before Kenny Miller (27) and Andy Halliday (64) turned the game in Rangers' favour. Stokes equalized with 10 minutes remaining before Gray struck for Hibs, who will remain in the second-tier next season having lost out in the promotion play-offs. First division champions Rangers have the consolation of returning to the top flight after four years away following financial collapse.
