Last year 2015, Capital Market Authority (CMA) added a strategic goal to its goals to deepen the financial market by broadening the base of participation in it and encouraging the companies to list their shares in addition to a host of other strategic initiatives designed to enhancing transparency and governance standards and working to increase communication programs with investors in the financial market. The Authority has given, according to its annual report, a great interest in its strategic plan adopted last year after it was presented to the Council of Economic and Development Affairs, chaired by Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Second Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense, the Council has recommended to approve it and expressed a number of observations and views, then, Royal Decree has been issued to approve the recommendations.
