Malta's Parliament on Monday defeated a motion of no confidence in the government over Prime Minister Joseph Muscat's failure to sack his chief of staff and a cabinet minister, who were named in the Panama Papers revelations, according to dpa. All 38 government MPs voted against the motion filed by the opposition after Energy Minister Konrad Mizzi and the prime minister's chief of staff, Keith Schembri, were named among those who set up two offshore trusts in 2015 in New Zealand. Thirty one MPs voted for the motion.
