The international flights at domestic airports in the Kingdom recorded a traffic growth rate by (51.5%), where the number of flights amounted to (26,361) journeys to international destinations by the end of 2015 compared with (17,405) in the year 2014. A statistical report issued by the General Authority of Civil Aviation revealed the growth of international flights at domestic airports by a rate of (40.2%), whereas the number of passengers amounted to (2,913,194) for the year 2015, compared with (2,077,659) passengers for the year 2014. The Authority has been successfully applied an international operating step at 10 regional airports by transporting passengers directly to the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Egypt, Yemen, and Turkey.
