Police in Sussex County in Virginia reported damage Wednesday from a storm system that has ravaged the U.S. South. According to Virginia State Police, troopers were called to assist local authorities. The department did not yet know the extent of the damage, exactly where it occurred, or whether there were any injuries. Authorities could not confirm a tornado, although the country was under a National Weather Service tornado warning when the damage occurred. The storms killed three people in Louisiana and Mississippi Tuesday.
