Germany enjoyed a 19.4-billion-euro (21.4-billion-dollar) surplus in 2015, its highest level since German reunification in 1990, according to the country's Statistics Office Tuesday, according to dpa. The figure represents income by government agencies at all levels - federal, state and municipal - minus expenditures. It represents about 0.6 per cent of gross domestic product, slightly higher than the 0.5 per cent that had been forecast. The news comes a month after the Finance Ministry reported a federal surplus of 12.1 billion euros for the year.
