Seven people have been killed and eight are presumed dead after an airstrike hit a hospital supported by Doctors without Borders (MSF) in northern Syria, the charity said from Cairo. The dead include five patients, a caretaker and a guard, MSF said. The hospital in Maarat al-Nuaman was hit by four missiles in two attacks within a few minutes of each other, the group said, citing staff from the hospital. "The destruction of the hospital leaves the local population of around 40,000 people without access to medical services in an active zone of conflict," Massimiliano Rebaudengo, MSF's head of mission in Syria, said. Later, Germany denounced the attack, noting that the Russian and Iranian intervention by the side of the Syrian regime makes all civilian sites vulnerable.
