Yemeni Vice Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Abdulmalik Al-Makhlafi, stressed that the Yemeni legitimate authorities agree on any serious UN-sponsored dialogue with the rebels that leads to ending the coup and the suffering of civilians. According to the Yemeni News Agency, which carried the news, Al-Makhlafi made the statement during a meeting in Riyadh today with the ambassador of the United Arab Emirates Salem Khalifa Al-Ghafli. Al-Makhlafi said the Yemeni government is keen to end the suffering of the Yemeni people and agree on any meaningful dialogue that leads to ending the coup and the suffering of civilians, in accordance with the GCC initiative and its executive mechanisms, the outputs of the comprehensive national dialogue conference and international legitimacy on the Yemeni issue, especially UN resolution No. 2216 of 2015. He praised the support extended by the UAE for the Yemeni legitimate government and its stand by the side of the Yemeni people in the current circumstances. For his part, the UAE ambassador confirmed his country's firm position by the side of Yemen and its constitutional legitimacy and the provision of support and assistance to the Yemeni people to overcome the current difficulties.
