Burundian police have arrested a British and a French journalist in the capital Bujumbura, dpa cited police as saying Friday. Edward Philip Moore and Jean-Philippe Remy were held Thursday afternoon in the neighbourhood of Nyakabiga, deputy police spokesman Moise Nkurunziza told dpa by telephone. Moore is an independent photo journalist, while Remy is the Africa correspondent of the newspaper Le Monde. The east African country has been gripped by violence since President Pierre Nkurunziza announced in April that he would seek a third term in office, despite the constitution setting a two-term limit.
