New President Mauricio Macri heads to the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, later this week, becoming the first Argentine leader to attend the gathering in 13 years, according to AP Macri's agenda released Monday includes meetings with U.S. Vice President Joseph Biden, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto, among others. He'll also meet with the heads of companies such as Dow Chemical Company. He arrives in Davos on Wednesday for a two-day visit. Argentina's economics and foreign ministers will travel with him. Former President Cristina Fernandez and her late husband and predecessor Nestor Kirchner did not attend the gathering during their terms, but Macri has placed a higher importance on economic ties with other countries. The last Argentine president to go was Eduardo Duhalde in January 2003.
