Pakistan condemned the attacks on the Saudi embassy in Tehran and the Saudi consulate in the Iranian city of Mashhad. It also denounced the threats against Saudi diplomats by some Iranian elements. Pakistan held Iran responsible for ensuring the security protection of the diplomatic missions on its territories in accordance with international treaties. In a press statement here this evening, the Pakistani Foreign ministry spokesman Qadhi Khalil Allah said that Pakistan deeply regrets the assaults on Saudi diplomatic missions in Iran, stressing that the host countries are responsible for providing full protection for diplomatic missions on its territories.
