The General President of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque Sheikh Dr. Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz Al-Sudais praised, in his own name and on behalf of Imams, preachers, scholars, teachers and personnel of the general presidency of the two holy mosques, the firm position of the Kingdom against anyone who dares to threaten its security, citing the Kingdom's decision to sever its diplomatic relations with Iran as well as the Islamic measures taken against a number of terrorists, and considering them internal affairs of the Kingdom that no foreign body should tamper with. In a statement, Al-Sudais denounced Iran's statements against legal rulings issued by the Kingdom's judiciary as well as Iranian mobs' attack on Saudi diplomatic mission in Iran and its support for whatever works to destabilize the Kingdom and spread chaos among its people. He said current developments in the region confirmed that violence, terror using, grievance, attacking, bloodsheding and sabotage are wrong practices leading to further grievances in the region. He stated that Iran's aggressive policy against the Kingdom and other GCC countries poses a serious threat to the regional and international security, stability and peace, necessitating firm response as Iran is seen to have greediness in the region and is poised to exercise a sectarian expansionism despite the patient attitude of the Kingdom towards it until yesterday and the day before yesterday's decisive and historic acts by the Kingdom.
