Asiri and Cultural Attaché in Australia Dr. Sulaiman Abdulmu'ti Al-Merdad, the Rector of the Kingdom's Umm Al-Qura University, Dr. Nasser Bin Abdullah bin Othman Al-Saleh met here today a group of Saudi students who are pursuing their academic studies in Australia. During the meeting, Dr. Al-Saleh highlighted the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz to remove all barriers to students abroad and to help them pursue their academic studies in comfort and ease. On their part, Saudi students thanked King Abdullah for the royal decree to increase by 15 percent stipends offered to all students pursuing their academic studies abroad and fix rates of currency exchange for them. Al-Asiri highlighted the King's care and support to Saudi students abroad and the keenness of the Saudi embassy to facilitate learning opportunities and facilities for them so they can contribute more to the progress of their country and serve their homeland.
