Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud held talks session at his palace here today with Palestine's President and Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization Mahmoud Abbas. At the outset of the talks session, President Abbas decorated the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques with the Medal of Honor - the highest honor granted in Palestine - in recognition of the King's stances towards the Palestinian cause. The talks addressed the developments in the occupied Palestinian territories. The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques reaffirmed the Kingdom's firm stances towards the Palestinian cause and the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, including the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital. For his part, President Abbas expressed appreciation of and thanks to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for the Kingdom's permanent support for Palestine and its people. The talks session was attended by Prince Dr. Mansour bin Miteb bin Abdulaziz, Minister of State, Cabinet's Member and Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques; Minister of State and Cabinet's Member Dr. Musaed bin Mohammed Al-Aiban; Minister of Finance Dr. Ibrahim bin Abdulaziz Al-Assaf; Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Adel bin Zaid Al-Toraifi; and the official delegation accompanying President Abbas.
