The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud chaired the Cabinet's session at Al-Yamamah palace in Riyadh on Monday afternoon. At the outset of the session, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques briefed the Cabinet on the telephone call received from the King of Kingdom of Bahrain, the telephone call made to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the results of his talks with the Chairman of Presidency Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Cabinet stressed that the joint statement on announcement of the formation of the Islamic alliance to fight terrorism militarily, intellectually and in the media in coordination with the important countries in the world and international organizations, which includes a group of Islamic states that make up the majority of the Islamic world, embodies the achievement of integration, closing of ranks, unification of efforts to combat it in all its forms and manifestations and eliminate its objectives and causes, and the performance of the duty to protect the nation from the evils of all armed and terrorist groups and organizations whatever might be their doctrines and names. The Cabinet commended the support of a number of Arab, Islamic and friendly countries, international organizations and parliaments for the formation of Islamic alliance against terrorism and every effort to combat and eliminate it. The Cabinet expressed the Kingdom's solidarity with the Government of Federal Nigeria in confronting terrorism, and standing by its side, following the terrorist operations that took place in Nigeria recently. The Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Adel bin Zaid Altoraifi said in a statement to Saudi Press Agency following the session that the Cabinet reviewed the latest developments in the region and the results of regional and international meetings and consultations regarding them, praising in this regard the outcomes of the second meeting of Saudi-Egyptian Coordination Council for Joint Work and Coordination between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Arab Republic of Egypt held under the co-chairmanship of Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Crown Prince, Second Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense, and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Egypt Engineer Sherif Ismail Mohammed, and the King's directives to increase Saudi investments in Egypt and support transport movement in Suez Canal by Saudi ships to enhance and consolidate cooperation and advance the relations to serve the common interests between the two countries. --More 15:55 LOCAL TIME 12:55 GMT تغريد
