U.S. Secretary of Defense Ashton Carter arrived in a previously unannounced visit to Afghanistan today as officials say he is planning to hold talks with U.S. soldiers and commanders there as well as Afghan officials. Carter's visit comes in the aftermath of increasing serious security attacks from Taliban movement against Afghan forces and inflicting them big losses since last year compared with previous years.
