Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Second Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense, received at Al-Yamamah Palace in Riyadh today Egyptian Prime Minister Engineer Sherif Ismail Mohammed. The following join statement is issued: Based on historical and strong relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Arab Republic of Egypt, upon directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, King of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and President Abdelfattah Al-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and based on what has been agreed in a minutes of establishment of Saudi-Egyptian Coordination Council for implementation of Cairo Declaration signed in Riyadh on 01/29/1437 corresponding to 11/11/2015, the Saudi-Egyptian Coordination Council held its first meeting in Riyadh, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, on Wednesday, 20/2/1437H corresponding to 2/12/2015 under co-chairmanship of Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Second Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Prime Minister of the Arab Republic of Egypt Engineer Sherif Ismail Mohammed with presence of members of the council of the two sides. The council reviewed coordination of the distinguished bilateral relations between the two countries in various fields, stressing its keenness on developing them in order to achieve aspirations of the two leaderships and serve the common interests of the two brotherly countries and peoples. In this regard, a minutes of the 1st meeting of Saudi-Egyptian Coordination Council was signed which included formation of working groups to support the council in order to complete reviewing of draft initiatives and agreements, memoranda of understanding and executive programs emanating from Cairo Declaration. The existing joint committees also complete their work and missions within the approved period and programs. The Prime Minister, head of the Egyptian side, Engineer Sherif Ismail Mohammed expressed his thanks and appreciation for the warn hospitality and good reception in their second country, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
