Maduro blames gangsters for death of Venezuelan opposition politician

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro said Thursday
that he was sorry for the death of an opposition politician a day
earlier at a campaign rally and that investigators think he was most
likely shot dead by a hired killer in a vendetta between criminal
gangs, dpa reported.
Maduro slammed Luis Almagro, secretary-general of the Organization of American States (OAS), for having commented on the death of Luis
Manuel Diaz late Wednesday, ahead of national polls in less than two
weeks' time.
