In the opening speech of the 27th summit meeting of the Association of Southeast Asia Nations "ASEAN" being held in the Malaysian capital of Kuala Lumpur this morning, Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak stressed the need to find new ways to deal with extremism and violence, as the military measures alone may not be sufficient to overcome the extremist group ISIS. The news agency (Bernama) quoted Malaysian Abdul Razak as saying that "this group involved in spreading war, violence, riot and destruction, and such criminal acts have nothing to do with Islam at all," pointing out that a lot of innocent people were killed by committed acts of this group. The Prime Minister stressed the need for research and study why someone tends to embrace deviant ideas, extremism and violence so that we can deal with this phenomenon.
