German trade rebounded at a faster-than-forecast rate in September, despite concerns about the impact on Europe's biggest economy of the slowdown in the world's major emerging markets, dpa reported. Monthly exports forged ahead by 2.6 per cent in September after contracting by 5.2 per cent in August, statistics office Destatis said Monday. Analysts had expected a 2-per-cent gain. Meanwhile, imports surged 3.6 per cent in September after slumping by 3.2 per cent in August. The rise in imports was also more than the 1-per-cent increase forecast by analysts.
