A Russian plane with 212 passengers aboard went missing Saturday, shortly after taking off from the Egyptian Red Sea town of Sharm al-Sheikh, dpa cited Egyptian aviation authority sources as saying. "Minutes after its take-off, we lost control with the plane, bound for an airport in federal Russia," an aviation official said. He added that all the passengers aboard were Russian holidaymakers. "Research and rescue forces have been sent to the area where contact with the aircraft was lost," the official added on condition of anonymity. "We are trying to determine the cause of losing contact with it."
