Moa'allami pointed out that the Kingdom had provided more than $ 350 million to UNRWA since 2013. It has also recently contributed more than $ 30 million dollars to cover UNRWA's deficit budget and to ensure that the schools it was sponsoring would not be closed, in response to appeals of the United Nations and the Government of Jordan. He looked forward to remain positively engaged with the rest of the concerned bodies in a joint action to expand the base of donor countries and international organizations, such as the World Bank and others to address the funding crisis faced by UNRWA and to avoid its repetition. "My delegation looks forward with interest to the results of this meeting", he said. The Saudi Ambassador thanked all donor countries and organizations and all UNRWA's staff, stressing once again the determination of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to continue its support for UNRWA with all possible aspects.
