AlHijjah 22, 1436, October 6, 2015, SPA -- South Carolina residents grappled with the damage from historic rains on their homes, roads, and water supplies, but welcomed sunny weather in the state Tuesday. Hundreds of people were living in shelters after floodwaters forced them from their homes and officials said that more evacuations were possible as several rivers remained above flood stage and dams were being monitored for breaches. According to emergency management officials, roughly 300 state-maintained roads and 160 bridges remained closed. They urged motorists to mind police barricades on flooded roads. The extended rain storm was blamed for at least 11 deaths in South Carolina and two in North Carolina. -- SPA 21:59 LOCAL TIME 18:59 GMT تغريد
