AlHijjah 21, 1436, Oct 5, 2015, SPA -- The US Coast Guard is starting its fifth day of searching near the Bahamas for a US cargo ship carrying 33 people missing since it encountered Hurricane Joaquin. The Coast Guard said Monday that two cutters continued searching overnight for the 240-meter El Faro, and a C-130 airplane was launched at dawn. A third cutter was set to join the operation. Searchers have found debris and clues but no definitive word on the fate of the vessel or those on board. The ship's owner said a container that appears to have come from the ship was found, and a debris field was found that included pieces of container. Searchers also saw an oil sheen and found a life preserver from the El Faro.
