AlHijjah 20, 1436, October 04, 2015, SPA -- The Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Adel bin Zaid Al-Toraifi has addressed the following speech on the Kingdom's 85th anniversary of the National Day. Praise be to Allah, the Lord of all, and prayer and peace be upon the noblest of His prophets and messengers, Prophet Mohammed, and all his family and companions. A precious national event graces us every year with the spirits of honor, goodness, kindness, growth, and fraternity. It is the anniversary of the glorious National Day of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in which joy, jubilation, faith, glory and loyal commitment summon one another, especially that this day of the year 1436 H coincides with the blessed Eid al-Adh-ha. This blessed day embodies the noble significance of Hajj, and is happily associated with the unique value of the national day of the Kingdom. This valuable day of the nation commemorates the important historic event of September 23rd, that great day inscribed deeply in history and engraved in the minds and hearts of the Saudi nationals. That was the day when the founder of this nation, late King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al Saud, unified the once fragmented people and regions, and with the grace of Allah Almighty, was able to quell seditions and struggles to bring about unity, solidarity, and fraternity. In these days of faith, the days of blessed Eid al-Adh-ha and the great assembly of Muslims in the sacred places of Makkah to perform Hajj, our country is enjoying its 85th National Day anniversary. It surely is an everlasting and great occasion through which the generations relive the memories of the story of struggle, sincerity of leadership, and loyalty of the people, and from which draw the inspiring epics the founder of this nation late King Abdulaziz had, with the grace of Allah Almighty, and thanks to his commitment faith and his wisdom-accomplished and thus been able to change the course of history and lead his country and nation to unity, development and prosperity, while steadfastly maintaining his faith, belief, principles and values. --More 13:43 LOCAL TIME 10:43 GMT تغريد
