AlHijjah 18, 1436, October 02, 2015, SPA -- President Barack Obama discussed the continuing negotiations for the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) trade pact with Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull, the White House said Friday. "The two leaders reaffirmed their commitment to concluding TPP soon," the White House said in a statement. Obama and Turnbull spoke by telephone Thursday as trade ministers from 12 Pacific countries meeting in Atlanta, Georgia extended talks on a trade deal until Saturday. The U.S. president also thanked Turnbull for Australia's support to the coalition opposing ISIS group, "and they agreed to stay closely coordinated as issues develop in Syria," the White House wrote.
