AlHijjah 17, 1436, Oct 1, 2015, SPA -- Minister of Health Eng. Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih and Iranian counterpart Hassan Hashimi held a meeting here today. During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations, in addition to the medical situation of Iranian pilgrims, mechanism to transport those who died during the Mina stampede incident, in the 1st day of Eid Aladha and following up treatment of the injured in Saudi hospitals. The Saudi minister conveyed condolence of the Government of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to Iranian government and the families of the dead, asserting the government of the Kingdom's willingness to cooperate with the Iranian government. For his part, the Iranian minister hailed Saudi efforts, response in dealing with the incident and providing all medical and ambulance services to all those injured, expressing understanding of the difficult task undertaken by the Saudi government and the services it accords during the Hajj season and the dedication in carrying them out. The parties agreed to transport the bodies of the dead Iranians who were identified as soon as possible and continue to communicate to identify the rest and take care of the situation of the injured. At the end of the meeting the Iranian Minister of Health Hassan Hashemi said the stampede was something out of people's control and we surrender to the will of Allah and His fate.
