AlHijjah 16, 1436, September 30, 2015, SPA -- Foreign ministers of the OIC contact group adopted the Action Plan submitted by the Special Envoy of the Organization on Myanmar Tan Sri Syed Hamid Albar, in order to restore the rights of Muslim -minority of Rohingya and stop discrimination against them. This came during a meeting of the contact group on the sidelines of the annual coordination meeting at United Nations Headquarters in New York today under the chairmanship of the Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Iyad bin Amin Madani. The meeting was also attended by special envoy to Myanmar, and the President of the Federation of Arakan Rohingya, Dr. Waqar Al-Deen. The meeting urged the Government of Myanmar to comply with its obligations under the international conventions on human rights and international law and to take all necessary measures to stop the violence and discrimination against Rohingya Muslims, citing its continual deprivation of their culture and Islamic identity. -- SPA 20:13 LOCAL TIME 17:13 GMT تغريد
