AlHijjah 04, 1436, September 18, 2015, SPA -- A record 154 heads of state or government are expected to attend the annual U.N. summit gathering this month, the United Nations said Thursday. The summit that begins September 25 will launch ambitious development goals that include eradicating poverty and hunger over the next 15 years. It will be the largest-ever U.N. gathering of world leaders. Spokesman Stephane Dujarric said 144 heads of state or government then will attend the annual General Assembly debate that starts September 28.
