AlQa'dah 26, 1436, September 10, 2015, SPA -- One person was feared dead and another missing and some 150,000 residents were ordered to evacuate their homes Thursday as flooding and mudslides hit eastern Japan, local media reported. One man was in critical condition after he fell into a ditch in the city of Nikko, 140 kilometres north of Tokyo, broadcaster NHK reported. The total rainfall has topped 400 millimetres in the city since Monday, a level not seen in decades, the Japan Meteorological Agency said. One woman was missing after heavy rain set off mudslides in Kanuma city, 100 kilometres north of Tokyo, NHK said.
